Meteor Stone reads as split basalt: short, broken horizontal strata with irregular pitting between the bands, dense enough that the surface absorbs rather than reflects light. It is the closest thing in the range to a genuinely rough stone.
MS-1 is a dark slate-green, MS-3 a near-black, and both are usually specified as a base or plinth material where the wall meets the ground and needs to look like it can take a knock. MS-2 breaks that with a strong terracotta that turns the same fracture pattern into something much warmer.
Because the texture is directional, it should be set out horizontally. Turned vertical it stops reading as geology and starts reading as a stripe.
