Banded Roman stone, six metres a man can carry
Travertine is the stone architects reach for when they want warmth without ornament — the horizontal banding does all the work. The problem has always been the slab: 20mm of calcium carbonate that has to be craned, anchored and sealed, and that will still shed off a high-rise soffit if the fixing fails.
Our Travertine collection carries the same banding at 3mm and roughly 4.5 kg per square metre. Because the sheet is flexible, the vein runs continuously around a curved return instead of stopping at a mitre. On a column, that means no visible joint on the face — the band simply keeps going.
Six shades cover the range a specifier normally needs: TV(P)-01 and TV(P)-03 for cool grey and greige interiors, TV(P)-04 and TV(P)-06 for the classic Roman cream, TV(P)-05 for a pale olive-toned stone, and TV(P)-02 for a saturated terracotta that reads as fired earth rather than quarried stone.
