Woven linear blocks, four tones
Stone Matrix sets a grid of blocks, each carrying fine parallel striations, and turns the direction of the striations block to block. The result is a woven field — the same trick a parquet floor plays, at wall scale and in stone.
SM-1 is a deep forest green-black, the strongest of the four and the one that shows the direction change most clearly. SM-2 is a warm tan. SM-3 a pale olive-cream. SM-4 a cool grey-violet.
It is a graphic rather than a naturalistic texture, which makes it a good fit where a wall needs to hold its own against strong joinery or signage — retail interiors and lift lobbies in particular — rather than pretending to be quarried stone.
